Cypress Park Little League Opening Day

Cypress Park Little League Opening Day

Saturday, April 24th at Rick Genest Baseball Diamond (RGBD) at Cypress Park Elementary School

Photos from 9:00 - 11:40 AM

Opening Day Ceremonies from 12:00 NOON - 1:45 PM

All teams need to be gathered at 11:55 AM for the parade.

Please come out and celebrate opening day with the team parade, prizes, and a concession!

Concession sales and other events will commence at 9:00 AM – all proceeds to CPLL.

Prize tickets will be given out to players at their photo time. Prizes will be drawn throughout the event and you may be this year's Helijet Tour winner! Players must be present at photos to collect their ticket and present at the draw to win.

New this year!  CPLL DRY-TECH (moisture wicking) long sleeve practice jerseys will be available for purchase from the concession - $45.00 cash or cheque.

2010 Pitching Rule Changes
Please read the following 2010 changes to our Pitching Rules
Please make note of the pitching rules located on the left side toolbar on our website under the heading 'Score/Pitch Info.' 
 
The rules have changed.  The change invloves the number of pitches allowed by age as well as there is no longer a requirement for a "game rest" between appearances.

Umpire Clinics
Want to make some money? Earn up to $15 - $20 per game by being an Umpire!

Umpire Clinics

 

For: 10 - 12 year olds

When: Wednesday, March 24th

Time: 5:30 - 7:00 PM

Where: Cypress Primary School Gym

Cost: $10 please bring cheque payable to CPLL

 

For: 13 years old and Up

When: Thursday, March 25th

Time: 5:30 – 7:00 PM

Where: Cypress Primary School

Cost: $10 please bring cheque payable to CPLL

 

To all CPLL and WVLL players who want to earn some money this spring ($15 - $20 per

game), learn the game of baseball better, and do some community service, we are

holding an umpire clinic on the 24th and 25th of March.

Drafts to NL, AL & Minors Final
Drafts for Majors NL and AL teams have concluded. Minors, Farm and T-Ball to follow.

Drafts Final

All players registered in the NL and AL Divisions of play have been drafted to a team.  You will be contacted by your coach by April 1, 2010.  Please do not be concerned if you do not receive a call prior to April 1, 2010.
 
Players in the Minors, Farm and T-Ball divisions will be notified of team placement prior to April 1, 2010.

Late Registration still Accepted
Online registration begins in January and closes on March 5, 2010.  Any player registering for play after the closing date will be placed on a “wait list” and if a space should become available they will be contacted and assigned to the first available team.

Late Registration Fee: Cypress Park Little League may accept registrations past the deadline.  Players who register after March 5, 2010 will be charged a $20 late registration fee.

Evaluation Day for Majors and Minors

We would like to thank all players who attended the recent Evaluation Day held at RGBD last Sunday.  The objective of both Evaluations Day and the Draft system of team organization is to achieve competitive balance among all the teams in the same division.
 
The day was a great success and we appreciate all players that made the effort to attend.

CPLL New Website and Registration
Cypress Park Little League is proud to introduce our new web system and online regestration system.
We have partnered with TechSys Communications (The SpAppz/Webappz software developer) to improve our registration, web site and web content capabilities using the SpAppz online registration system and the WebAppz Content Management System (CMS) . The new systems will result in a more complete registration process that will simplify the registration process and reduce volunteer/administrative time as well as improve timely website content.
