CPLL honours our 2011 Volunteer of the Year - Bill Franklin
Bill has spent many years dedicating his time and positive energy to Cypress Park Little League. With 3 boys moving through the CPLL ranks Bill has patrolled the dugouts for many seasons. He has coached in the league for over 15 years, has won many titles – 4 in a row with the NL Cardinals…we almost had to burn the uniform! He has coached many All Star teams as well as our own CPLL Provincial teams. Bill has always been an excellent example of a good sportsmanship and fair play while always finding the perfect way to challenge his players.
Bill has spent many years dedicating his time to the Board at CPLL and has held many different positions. Bill continues to provide all of our schedules for the league – which is even more amazing given he no longer has a son playing with CPLL. So when you or your player see the great schedules and standings which include colors for all the teams and yes, even pinstripes for the Yankees…you now know where this all comes from.
Without the dedication of great volunteers like Bill Franklin Cypress Park Little League would not be the club it is today.
Thank you for the time, energy, dedication and most of all passion that you have shown toward Cypress Park Little League for many seasons.
